The Guide TU1260MS Thermal Scope sits at the top of the TU MUO 3.0 line and is aimed at shooters who want to identify and range a target properly before touching the trigger. It carries a 1280x1024 thermal detector, a separate digital night vision channel and a laser rangefinder good to 1500m, all in one sealed body. This is a professional-grade unit, priced and built accordingly.
A 1280x1024 detector reaching 3200 metres
The thermal detector runs 1280x1024 on a 12um pixel pitch behind a fast 60mm F0.9 lens, with detection quoted to 3200m. Magnification spans 2.3x to 36.8x across a 14.6 degrees x 11.7 degrees field of view, so the same scope gives you a genuinely wide scanning view at the bottom end and serious reach at the top. Hyper-Light enhancement and the APEXVISION imaging system do the processing work behind it.
Fifteen millikelvin, and a display that can show it
NETD of 15mK means very small temperature differences still register, which is what keeps an animal readable long after the ground has cooled and contrast has drained out of the scene. The detector covers 8um to 14um at 50Hz. That detail is fed to a 1.03-inch AMOLED running 2560x2560, so the resolution you paid for at the sensor is not thrown away at the eyepiece.
Digital night vision for positive identification
A second channel uses a 1920x1080 sensor with a 35mm F4.0 lens, running 5.1x to 81.6x over 6.4 degrees x 5.1 degrees and reaching 330m. Use thermal to find, then switch to the digital channel with Day, Night or Low-light modes when you need to see markings rather than heat. Seven thermal palettes are available for the infrared view.
Rated to take the recoil and the weather
The chassis is IP68 rated and shock resistant to 6000J, so heavier calibres are not a concern. Power comes from two 18650 cells internally plus an external 18650, giving 9 hours of run time, charged over USB-C. It measures 450x90x91mm and weighs 1145g, working from -20C to 50C. A quick release scope mount is included, torqued to 2.5N.m or 22.13 in-lbs, along with an IR torch and 30mm bracket.
