HIKMICRO Lynx LH19 3.0 Thermal Monocular

The HIKMICRO Lynx LH19 3.0 Thermal Monocular is a compact scanner built for finding things fast in close and medium country. The 19 mm F1.0 lens gives a wide 13.8° field of view, which is 24.2 m at 100 m, so you cover a lot of ground per sweep instead of hunting through a straw. At 331 g with the battery it sits in a jacket pocket without you noticing.

A wide view finds animals faster

Most of the time spent with a thermal is spent looking for something, not looking at it. The 13.8° × 8.4° field of view, or 24.2 m × 14.7 m at 100 m, means fewer sweeps to clear a paddock or a stretch of scrub edge. Base magnification is 1.9x and steps up to 15.2x when you need to look harder at something, with Zoom Pro and Image Pro processing holding the picture together as you go in. Detection reaches 900 m.

Sensitivity that copes once the heat has gone out of the ground

The detector is 384 × 288 on a 12 µm pitch with NETD below 15 mK. That NETD figure is the one that decides whether a rabbit still shows up at three in the morning. A lower value means the sensor can separate smaller temperature differences, so animals stay visible once the ground has cooled and everything is heading towards the same temperature. Response waveband is 8 µm to 14 µm at 50 Hz, viewed on a 0.49 inch AMOLED at 1920 × 1080. Six palettes are on board, and the HSIS shutterless system keeps the image live with no recalibration pause.

Pocket sized, swappable battery, sealed against the weather

Run time is 5 hours from a replaceable and rechargeable 18650 battery, so a spare in the pocket doubles your night. It charges directly or runs off an external supply at 5 V DC, 2 A. The body measures 158.4 × 53.6 × 49.5 mm, is IP67 rated and works from -30°C to 45°C. The 6 mm exit pupil and -5D to +3D diopter make it easy to get a clean view quickly. Snapshot, video and audio recording are included with a 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz Wi-Fi hotspot.
