Guide TB650LS Thermal Clip-On

The Guide TB650LS Thermal Clip-On puts a 640 class thermal sensor and a laser rangefinder in front of your day scope for well under half a kilo. You keep your existing optic, your zero and your reticle, and you gain the ability to find, identify and range game in the dark. At 485g it is light enough that rifle balance stays natural through a long stalk.

Detection to 2600 metres with a 50 mm lens

A 640x512 detector at 12µm pitch sits behind a 50mm objective, giving a 2600m detection range and a 8.8° x 6.6° field of view. The longer lens trades some width for reach and image scale, which suits open paddocks, cleared blocks and station country where you are glassing well past 300 metres rather than working thick scrub.

The 1200m in-lens laser rangefinder measures exactly what the thermal is looking at, so there is no parallax argument between two separate devices. G-Zero shutterless technology means no calibration pause at the wrong moment, and the Hyper-light image enhancement algorithm holds contrast when conditions turn humid or dusty.

Fine detail on cooled ground

NETD is rated 15mK across 8 to 14µm at 50Hz. That sensitivity is what separates an animal from a background sitting only a degree or two different, which is exactly the situation a couple of hours after sunset. The 0.39-inch AMOLED display runs 1920 x 1080, and seven palettes are available including White Hot, Black Hot, Iron Red and Green Hot.

Practical power and sealing

A single replaceable 18650 battery runs for about 5 hours, so a spare in the pocket covers a full night without needing a cable. USB-C provides power and data. Video and audio recording plus a Wi-Fi hotspot let you review or share what you saw. The body is IP68 rated, works from -20°C to 50°C and measures 139 x 86 x 79mm.
