The HIKMICRO Alpex 4K A50EL Night Vision Scope IR Illuminator Kit adds a built-in laser rangefinder to the 4K Alpex platform and ships with the Speras TH4 IR illuminator torch kit. It is a day and night scope that works off whatever ambient light is present, giving full colour by day and black and white after dark, so you can identify an animal properly rather than reading a heat blob. The 30 mm tube body mounts in standard rings.

Ranged out to 1000 metres before you touch the trigger

The built-in laser rangefinder module reads to 1000 m, matching the scope's 1000 m detection range, so anything you can see you can also range. On a rifle where holdover starts to matter past a couple of hundred metres, having the number in the display rather than guessing off a fence post is the practical difference this model buys you over the standard A50E.

4K detail that survives being zoomed

The 3840 × 2160 UHD CMOS detector gives you a deep well of resolution to draw on, and magnification runs 3.5x to 28x with Zoom Pro tidying up the image as you push in. It is shown on a 0.49 inch sub-round OLED at 1920 × 1080, with a 15.3 × 8.6 degree field of view and a 50 Hz frame rate for smooth tracking. The 50 mm lens has an adjustable aperture from F1.2 to F2.5, so you can open right up on a dark night or stop down when there is more light around. The supplied Speras TH4 torch covers the nights with nothing to work with, and the scope responds in the near infrared at 850 nm and 940 nm. Day, Night and Auto modes handle the switching.

Sealed, cold rated and good for a long sit

Two internal rechargeable Li-ion cells and one external replaceable 18650 give 11 hours continuous run time, charged at 5 V DC over USB-C. The scope is IP67 sealed and rated from -30°C to 55°C. It weighs approximately 1180 g for the scope alone at 439.8 × 71.4 × 84 mm, with diopter from -5D to +5D. Snapshot, video and audio recording are included, along with a 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz Wi-Fi hotspot and a standby mode.
