The HIKMICRO NEOS NE25 Thermal Scope is the entry into the NEOS line, built for shooters who want a rifle-mounted thermal that finds pigs, foxes and rabbits in the dark without paying top-tier money. Detection to 1200 metres from a 25 mm lens

The 256 x 192 detector with 12 µm pixel interval and a 25 mm lens gives a detection range of 1200 m. That is the distance at which a warm body shows up as a signature worth investigating, not the distance at which you should be pulling the trigger. NETD is rated less than 18 mK, and a lower NETD means finer temperature discrimination, so animals still separate from the background in the small hours when the ground has cooled and contrast falls away. The detector responds across 8 µm to 14 µm at a 50 Hz frame rate.

No shutter break at the wrong moment

Image Pro 3.0 processing works with the shutterless HSIS system, so the picture does not freeze for a recalibration cycle while an animal is walking across your field of view. Sync Pro cuts latency between what the sensor sees and what reaches your eye, which matters on a swinging shot. The 0.49 inch AMOLED display runs 1920 x 1080 with an 8 mm exit pupil and -4D to 4D dioptre adjustment, and there are six palettes including Black Hot, White Hot and Fusion to suit the conditions.

Wide enough to find, close enough to identify

Magnification runs 3.5x to 24.5x with a field of view of 7.0° x 5.3°, or 12.2 m x 9.3 m at 100 m. Start wide to sweep a fence line or a dam, then zoom in to sort a fox from a rabbit before committing.

Nine and a half hours on a charge

An internal rechargeable battery works alongside a replaceable external 18650 for 9.5 hours of continuous running, with Type-C 5 V DC / 2 A charging that supports QC3.0. The scope weighs 540 g, measures 345.6 mm x 86.1 mm x 56.1 mm, is rated IP67 and operates from -30°C to 55°C. On-board video, snapshot and audio recording are all there when you want the footage.
